02.10.2008 - Series of exhibitions and auctions at Christie's from 15 to 21 October

Christie’s announce that they will offer a lost work by the great Italian master Giambattista Tiepolo (1696-1770) Portrait of a lady as Flora at the evening auction of Important Old Master and British Pictures on 2 December 2008 in London.

Art Basel Miami Beach is upon us once again, and in full force, despite reports from The Miami Herald and many others of an art-market crash.

French police seized a number of works by the Ukrainian performance artist Oleg Kulik on the stand of Moscow’s XL gallery during Fiac (Foire international d’art contemporain), the leading contemporary art fair, held in the Grand Palais, Paris, on 23-26 October, The Art Newspaper reports.
